Christmas update since the last update!

Christmas morning at our house.  Ok, so I notice it has become a tradition that we take a photo of the kids waiting at the top of the stairs to come down for presents.  One of these years, I might have to put together a collage of these photos.  Add that to the list of one of these years projects.

This is another traditional picture.

David got to open the first present of the morning and his reaction was priceless.  Unfortunately, Eric left the room for a moment and so the moment is not captured on video, and you can't even see his face in this picture (bummer!)  Anyway, he opened his gift and jumped up and down with his Woody and Buzz Lightyear.  That reaction alone was the best part of Christmas.  We all laughed and enjoyed the GREAT start!  We open one gift at a time at our house, that way everyone gets to enjoy the other's reactions to their gifts.  It's a fun way to do it, and there's always guesses and speculation of what could be in that big box.

Yes, Shawn's face is a little bit blurry, but he was excited about his batman castle.  It was the only thing he asked for and Santa obliged.  He had a lot of fun with it.  David is enjoying his Woody and Buzz and rocket and Kaytie is playing with her dolly, and teethers.
Michael kept the mess at bay, he pulled out a garbage bag at the beginning and picked up the wrapping paper as we went along. (What a GREAT son!)  As you can see in the background, there's only a few boxes and all the wrappings are in the bag.
Other favorite gifts that the big kids got, were a transformers Bumblebee for Jared.  Mountain Dew pajama pants for Michael and BYU sweatshirt, and Stephie got her boots and vest.  (She knew about them, but the shopping trip to get them was FUN!!!)

DINNER
Ok, so we splurged a little bit on dinner and went with ribeye steaks.  Ever since Jared got to go to Applebee's for his birthday, he's been crazy about wanting to go out for steak.  So we showed him that you can have a DELICIOUS steak dinner at home for a lot less than a restaurant and it tastes BETTER!  It was really good.
Kaytie joined in around the table.

Merry Christmas!
