2009 Soccer season ends

All great things in life must come to an end and so the girl's soccer team played their final game of the season.  Stephanie played hard and hoped that they would win, but unfortunately they lost and so the season is over.  The score was 4 to 1.  Bear River came out and scored twice within the first 10 minutes of the game, which scared the team and they don't play as well when that happens.  They seemed to be making several mistakes and not playing as well as they have in the past.

Near the end of the game we were cheering for a score just so the game would not be a shut out.  Stephanie had an almost score that was a header, but she didn't seem to be positioned correctly for the ball to go in.  When the team finally did score, they rallied for a while and began to show up to play, but by this time it was so close to the end of the game that their coach decided to let all the seniors play for the last time.

It was a sad ending and the seniors were sad for the season to end and girls can never cry alone, so the whole team was teary eyed.  Stephanie dwelled a little bit on the fact that next year will be her last year.  It was a good season and Stephanie has improved since her freshman year.  They were proud to end the season as Region Champs.
