Happy Eaters - Oh! Easter!

Please forgive the cheesy title, it started out as a typo and then it was funny to me so I kept it.

This year for Easter, we had dinner at grandma's on Saturday with Scott and Holly and their kids.  We had a fun game of Quiddler (I heart word games!)

Easter Sunday was spent listening to conference and because the easter bunny lacks organization and didn't pull it together for Saturday.  Next year...

Anyway, between conference sessions, the kids were allowed to look for their easter baskets.

Jared found his first, mostly because he opened the closet where it was hidden and we thought he had seen it, so it was given away that that was where it was hidden.  David's was found next under a blanket behind the birdhouse at the top of the stairs.  Shawn found his under a pillow in the corner of the hall (DI pile),

 Michael found Stephie's in the seldom used kitchen cabinet, but didn't tell her.  After the hint that Michael's was upstairs and Stephie's down, they looked and looked and looked some more.  Michael looked in Kaytie's armoire in her cubby where his was hidden, but overlooked it. He finally found it, as did Stephie and they both had "DUH" moments!  The easter bunny tricked them again.

We had roast beef with mashed potatoes for dinner, and strawberries with angel food cake for dessert.

We almost didn't do egg coloring this year, but I knew next week, I'd hear it if we didn't so..

Monday night for family home evening was egg coloring time.

Michael and Stephanie put off homework over the easter vacation, so they were getting math help while everyone else colored eggs.

Kaytie even sat and watched while David was having a nap.

He woke up and colored - Yea!

Oh well, it was fun and we had boiled eggs for breakfast and after school snacks for 2 days.
